The Macedon Ranges Shire Council has adopted a new set of Small Project Grants program guidelines in recent days, in a move that could potentially double the dollars for community projects.
The updated guidelines, adopted at the council’s recent scheduled June meeting, include an increase in the funding cap from $1,500 to $3,000 per grant. There’s also a change to processing timelines, and a weighted assessment criteria to determine funding eligibility.
The program provides financial assistance to projects and initiatives that support local needs, are
unlikely to be funded by other council funding programs and align with the Council Plan priorities.
