The state government says it's supporting Victorians to practice and compete safely at shooting sports centres across the state.
| The state government says it’s supporting Victorians to practice and compete safely at shooting sports centres across the state. Minister for Community Sport Ros Spence today announced 32 projects will share $4 million in the latest round of the Shooting Sports Facilities Program. The grants enable clubs to improve the quality and safety of ranges, develop more secure storage, purchase equipment and conduct environmental protection works. The grants also provide an opportunity for clubs to boost participation, accommodate people of all abilities and provide pathways from beginners to elite level competition. Recipients include Morwell Gun Club which will receive $300,000 to upgrade clubrooms, kitchen and office areas. The Warrnambool Olympic Pistol Club will receive almost $20,000 to install solar power and Traralgon Pistol Club will receive more than $73,000 for an upgrade to the clubroom with improved lighting, better energy efficiency, reduced noise and climate control. |
