Nearly 325 Victorian schools, including Hepburn Primary, Daylesford Primary and Daylesford Secondary, are getting a share in $8.2 million for ‘vegetation clearing and activities’ intended to reduce the risk of harm from a bushfire, a local MP says.

Students in Macedon will have “safer school environments to learn in, with the state government funding key Bushfire Preparedness projects” the Member for Macedon Mary-Anne Thomas says.


Ms Thomas last week announced that schools in Macedon are among more than 350 Victorian schools to embark on a “maintenance blitz” in coming weeks with $13.5 million allocated through the Planned Maintenance and Bushfire Preparedness programs that will involve “vegetation clearing”.
