As part of the international campaign of 16 Days of Activism against gender-based
violence, Hepburn Shire Council invited community members to walk together in Trentham, Daylesford, Creswick and Clunes last week.
The walks started at the library in each town at 3.30pm on International Day for the
Elimination of Violence against Women, Friday 25 November.
It marked the first day of the 16-day campaign, which runs until Friday 10 December –
International Human Rights Day. The council is using the walks as an opportunity to raise
awareness about gender-based violence and as a call for action to prevent it.
