January 17th, 2024Woman dies after crash near Clunes

Moorabool Highway Patrol are investigating a fatal crash near Clunes, at Dunach, on Sunday.

It is understood a vehicle was travelling along Ballarat-Maryborough Road, before it lost control and crashed into a tree about 4.15pm on Sunday, January 14.

The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, a 70-year-old Maryborough woman, was airlifted to hospital but died overnight.

The exact circumstances surrounding the crash are yet to be determined and investigations remain ongoing.
